Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Pearland, Texas (TX) office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join their Land Development team. This is not a remote position.

You will perform site development engineering and manage residential and commercial projects, coordinating with clients and jurisdictions to deliver quality land development designs. The role emphasizes proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydrology modeling, and permitting, with growth into staff and project management.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Experience with site civil design, permitting, and software including hydrology modeling, storm drainage, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Experience with task management and assisting project management tasks.
• Familiar with coordinating with clients, attending client meetings, and overseeing quality standards.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ability to build plan sets and construction documents.
• Design experience including utilities, site layout, drainage, due diligence and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for residential and commercial projects.
• Projects will include land development site designs.
• Assist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules.
• Research, coordination, project management, staff management, cost estimating, permitting for land disturbance and preparation of bid packages and technical specifications.
• Flourish on building meaningful internal and external professional relationships.
• Collaborate with other industry professionals, jurisdictions, and contractors.
