Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Denver, CO office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 8+ years of experience to join our Land Development team. This in-person role focuses on site development engineering and project management for residential and commercial projects, with emphasis on coordination with clients, jurisdictions, and contractors.

The position requires a PE license (or ability to obtain within 12 months) and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydrology modeling, and drainage design.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering design experience.
• PE license (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Experience in site civil design, permitting, and related software (Hydrology, Storm Drainage, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
• Experience with task management, concept design, and assisting project management tasks.
• Ability to coordinate with clients, attend meetings, and oversee quality standards.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D; ability to build plan sets and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for residential and commercial projects.
• Work on a variety of land development site designs.
• Assist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules.
• Collaborate with team members, jurisdictions, and contractors on projects.
• Develop plan sets and construction documents for sites.
