Job summary

CMS Corporation is seeking a Civil Senior Project Manager to lead heavy civil construction projects, including planning, execution, and closeout. You will oversee budgets, schedules, procurement, and contract administration while guiding field teams and engineers to meet safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: CMS Assistant Project Manager or 9+ years in civil construction project management; or equivalents.
• Preferred qualifications include extensive heavy civil experience and government contracts knowledge.
• Experience with CMiC, Procore, Bluebeam Revu, RMS/QCS or similar platforms.
• Travel 20%-50%; valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety procedures and promote a safety culture across all project phases.
• Develop project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and execution plans to meet client expectations (CPAR).
• Direct client communications to strengthen relationships and win future opportunities.
• Collaborate with Pre-Construction and Proposal Teams during bidding and negotiations.
• Review drawings, geotechnical reports, and contract documents for compliance and execution.
• Oversee staffing and coordinate with Field Operations Manager for project needs.
• Lead and mentor project teams to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
• Monitor progress, manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and documentation.
