Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Civil Engineering Manager to lead the engineering department from our Upington office. You will oversee all civil design, planning, and project execution, managing a team of engineers to meet deadlines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree (or higher), Pr.Eng with ECSA, and 10+ years in civil engineering including 5+ in leadership. Strong leadership, communication, and risk management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Pr. Eng registration with ECSA required.
• 10+ years in civil engineering with 5+ in management.
• Experience in infrastructure, land development, and construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the civil engineering team, ensuring technical excellence.
• Oversee design, planning, and execution of all civil projects.
• Develop budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Implement QA/QC procedures and manage risk.
• Contribute to strategic planning and business development.
