Placements24 is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with expertise in roads and infrastructure for Upington, Northern Cape. You will lead design, planning, and delivery of major projects, managing teams, ensuring technical excellence, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Ideal candidates have road design software proficiency (Civil 3D, AutoCAD), deep knowledge of hydrology and traffic engineering, and a proven track record in delivering civil infrastructure projects in line with SA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Pr. Eng registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience focused on roads and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of road networks, intersections, highways and related infrastructure.
• Conduct feasibility studies, traffic analyses, and impact assessments.
• Manage all phases of civil projects from concept to construction supervision.
• Prepare detailed designs, specifications, drawings and tender docs.
• Oversee junior engineers and technicians, providing mentorship.
• Coordinate with clients, government agencies and stakeholders.
• Manage budgets and timelines, identify and mitigate risks.
• Perform quality control and site inspections to ensure design conformance.
• Contribute to business development through proposals and client presentations.
