Qualifications

• Experience in roads and pavements is essential.
• Strong knowledge of pavement design, materials, and traffic principles.

Responsibilities

• Design road alignments, intersection layouts, and pavement structures.
• Perform pavement analysis and design with standard software.
• Prepare drawings, specs, and contract documents for road projects.
• Oversee road construction activities ensuring quality and designs.
• Conduct site investigations including soil surveys and material testing.
• Carry out traffic studies and safety analyses for new roads.
• Ensure compliance with SANS and road design guidelines.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and authorities to ensure smooth execution.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior staff.
