Placements24 is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead large-scale projects in Upington, Northern Cape. You will oversee site operations, safety, budgeting, scheduling, and client relations, with a proven track record on multi-million Rand ventures.

The role requires 15+ years in construction, including 10+ in senior management, strong leadership, and adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards. Residency in Upington or frequent travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 15+ years in construction with 10+ in senior management overseeing large projects.
• Proven track record managing multi-million Rand projects (R200M+).
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, project management software, and contract administration.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Experience with remote or challenging site conditions is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for all construction site activities and personnel.
• Develop and implement construction plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental regulations on sites.
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors for performance and compliance.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain quality control throughout construction.
• Manage client relationships and site-related communications.
• Approve work plans and ensure efficient site operations.
• Conduct site inspections, progress meetings, and reports for senior management.
• Foster collaboration and continuous improvement among site teams.
