Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Construction Foreman for projects in Upington, Northern Cape. You will lead on-site civil works, coordinate labor and subcontractors, and uphold safety and quality standards to meet project timelines.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of foreman/supervisor experience in civil construction, with strong leadership, communication, and the ability to read construction drawings. Upington-specific knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Foreman or Supervisor on civil construction sites.
• Relevant trade qualification or extensive supervisory experience in civil construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct daily on-site construction activities for civil works projects.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Manage and coordinate the work of site laborers, operators, and subcontractors.
• Maintain a safe working environment and enforce all health and safety policies on site.
• Monitor work progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage the allocation and efficient use of tools, equipment, and materials on site.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Report on daily progress, site conditions, and any incidents or challenges.
• Ensure quality control of all executed works.
