Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer in the United States, CO or OR locations, to independently lead small and large water-related projects. You will evaluate, specify, and engineer civil systems, mentor junior staff, and lead project design with emphasis on reliability and cost-efficiency.

The role requires PE licensure in CO (or ability to obtain within 6 months) and 8+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; CO PE licensure within 6 months.
• Minimum of 8 years in water, wastewater, or stormwater conveyance design.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage multiple projects; Engineer-of-Record.
• Provide technical leadership for civil projects and manage client relationships.
• Lead project coordination meetings with internal teams and external consultants.
• Develop project scope, budgets, and design approaches; support proposals.
• Review quality assurance/quality control on projects.
• Mentor junior staff.
