Job summary

GEI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a senior civil engineer in Southern California with a strong background in civil, agricultural, or water resources engineering.

You will lead field and design efforts for water resource facilities and conveyances, oversee reports, drawings, estimates, and construction support, and manage PE/EIT staff. The role emphasizes leadership, quality control, and collaboration with clients and internal teams, with opportunities for business development and office growth.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer in California.
• Twenty years of civil design experience, including pipelines.
• Experience with detailed design, plans, and specifications preparation.
• Experience managing PEs and EITs with multiple deadlines and client requirements.
• Excellent technical report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and design expertise for water conveyance projects, including pipelines.
• Oversee development of scope, fee, reports, plans, specifications and estimates for multiple projects.
• Supervise engineering staff, technicians, and other technical staff.
• Review and evaluate design and construction practices.
• Attend project meetings and work in a team environment or independently.
• Identify needs and support meetings with internal staff and external clients.
• Participate in and lead business development activities and contribute to office and practice growth.
