Job summary

GEI’s Rancho Cordova, CA office seeks a Project Civil Engineer to execute complex water resource projects across Northern California and nationwide. You’ll support planning, design, and construction management for dams, levees, and conveyance systems, leading design tasks and preparing technical documents.

You will collaborate with project managers, mentor staff, and travel to sites as required. Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and strong communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in California.
• 4–10+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to supervise staff and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support tasks on water resource and hydraulic projects.
• Provide AutoCAD support and design calculations.
• Prepare memos, reports, specs, estimates, and construction documents.
• Support field activities and travel to project sites as needed.
