Job summary

GEI Consultants, Inc. seeks an experienced Water Resources Engineer to join a national team of water resources professionals. You will contribute to planning and implementing projects in natural and urban settings, leading studies, designs, schedules, and client communications.

You will develop hydrologic and hydraulic models, oversee technical work, prepare memoranda, and contribute to proposals. Willingness to travel and mentor staff is expected as part of a growing practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in water resources engineering.
• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field; M.S. is a plus.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
• Ability to work in a team environment and meet deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from small to large within technical specialty.
• Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models for diverse projects.
• Lead technical studies, design development, and construction documents.
• Prepare reports and present findings to peers and clients.
• Lead proposals and seek new work with clients.
• Mentor junior staff and maintain technical excellence.
