University of Michigan Facilities & Operations seeks a Senior Civil Engineer in Ann Arbor to lead civil capital projects and manage design teams. You will coordinate with City and MDOT, ensure ADA/PROWAG compliance, and prepare graphics and reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience, dependent upon education and previous responsibilities.
• Registration as professional engineer.
• A broad knowledge of principles in civil engineering.
• Minimum of Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited engineering program.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate course of action and make independent decisions within the scope of responsibilities.
• Develop program statements and programs for assigned civil capital projects.
• Evaluate proposals from consultants and participate in the selection process for assigned civil capital projects.
• Direct the activities of engineers, and other professionals retained for planning, programming and designing assigned civil complex capital projects.
• Conduct project meetings; responsible for project tracking and analysis.
• Maintain the highest quality standards in civil engineering, while managing the design process for assigned civil capital projects.
• Prepare and oversee the preparation of graphics and narrative reports for assigned projects and make presentations of same.
