Job summary

University of Michigan in Ann Arbor seeks a Senior Architect to lead architectural design for capital projects and manage multidisciplinary teams. You will develop program statements, review consultant proposals, prepare contracts, and oversee project meetings with architects, engineers, and interior designers to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor's in architecture, a state license, and at least 5 years of experience with complex projects; a Master’s degree and LEED BD+C

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture.
• State license to practice architecture.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing the execution of design efforts for complex projects.
• LEED Green Associate or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional BD+C credential.
• Master's degree in architecture preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate course of action and make independent decisions within scope of responsibilities.
• Develop architectural program statements and building programs for assigned capital projects.
• Evaluate proposals from consultants and participate in the selection process for capital projects.
• Prepare and execute contracts for engaging professional consultant firms.
• Direct activities of architects, engineers, interior designers and other professionals; conduct project meetings and tracking.
