Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior CICS Mainframe Systems Programmer for a remote role in the United States. You will provide premium support for CICS TS and OEM products on z/OS, including 24x7 coverage and migration support for new customers. Strong hands-on mainframe experience and SMP/E expertise are required.

The role emphasizes independent work, excellent communication, and collaboration with cross-functional teams as part of Ensono's client-facing service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years on the zSeries mainframe platform with hands-on CICS TS and OEM product support.
• Strong knowledge of CICS TS and installation/tailoring of CICS TS and related OEM products.
• Experience with IBM SMP/E.
• Analytical skills and understanding of CICS TS concepts, configuration.
• Experience with tools to monitor CICS TS performance.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and under pressure.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill CSOs for mainframe z/OS customers related to CICS TS and OEM products.
• Provide primary support for reported CICS TS issues.
• Provide 24x7x365 support across multiple time zones.
• Follow procedures for installing OEM products per Ensono standards.
• Prepare customer partitions for annual OS upgrades.
• Support customer migrations related to CICS TS and OEM products.
• Assist project manager with migrations of newly acquired customers.
• Execute disaster recovery tasks with DR services.
• Follow ITSM change control procedures.
• Implement vendor fixes and upgrades to z/OS products.
