Job summary

Ensono seeks a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer focused on CICS to deliver premium support to our mainframe clients in the United States. You will handle CSOs, resolve CICS TS issues, and collaborate on migrations and disaster recovery tasks.

Applicants should have 5+ years on the zSeries platform with CICS TS and OEM product experience, SMP/E proficiency, and strong communication skills. This remote role requires availability across time zones and weekends when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years experience on zSeries mainframe with CICS TS and OEM product support.
• Thorough knowledge of CICS TS and related OEM products.
• Strong IBM SMP/E knowledge and usage.
• Analytical skills and understanding of CICS TS concepts.
• Experience with monitoring CICS TS regions.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Ability to multi-task under deadlines and in high pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Team player who can also work independently.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill CSOs for z/OS customers related to CICS TS and OEM software.
• Provide primary support for reported CICS TS issues.
• Offer 24x7x365 support across multiple time zones.
• Follow procedures for installing OEM products per best practices.
• Collaborate with other teams to prepare customer partitions for OS upgrades.
• Support customer migrations related to CICS TS and OEM products.
• Assist project managers during transitions and migrations.
• Coordinate DR tasks with Disaster Recovery Services.
• Adhere to ITSM change control procedures.
• Implement vendor product fixes and enhancements for z/OS.
