Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer – CICS to provide premium mainframe support focused on CICS TS and OEM products for z/OS environments. You will execute installations, maintenance, and problem resolution while coordinating across time zones and teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of zSeries experience, strong SMP/E knowledge, and excellent communication skills. The role offers remote-friendly options and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on z/Series mainframe experience with CICS TS and OEM product support.
• Strong knowledge of IBM SMP/E and CICS TS configuration and tailoring.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill CSOs for z/OS customers related to CICS TS and OEM software.
• Provide primary support for reported CICS TS problems.
• Provide 24x7x365 support across multiple time zones.
• Install OEM software products following best practices and Ensono standards.
• Assist migration and upgrade processes for customers.
• Support customer migrations and transitions.
• Collaborate with Disaster Recovery Services for DR plans.
• Adhere to ITSM change control procedures.
• Upgrade, maintain, enhance or provide new options to applicable z/OS products.
