Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior CICS Mainframe Systems Programmer to provide premium support for CICS TS across multiple time zones and to partner with project teams on migrations and upgrades. The role requires deep z/OS experience and hands-on work with OEM software products, SMP/E, and performance tools.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication, and an ability to operate independently or within a team while meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and/or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years experience on the zSeries mainframe including hands-on CICS TS and OEM product support.
• Thorough knowledge of CICS TS and related OEM products; SMP/E expertise.
• Strong knowledge of monitoring and performance tools for CICS TS.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide premium support for CICS TS and OEM products to Ensono customers.
• Fulfill CSOs for mainframe z/OS customers in a timely manner.
• Provide 24x7x365 support across multiple time zones.
• Follow procedures for installing OEM products according to best practices.
• Assist in preparing customer partitions for annual OS upgrades.
• Support customer migrations and transitions involving CICS TS and OEM products.
• Help migrate new customers and address technical hurdles promptly.
