Ensono is seeking a Senior CICS Mainframe Systems Programmer to provide premium support for CICS on the z/OS platform. The role is remote within the United States and focuses on delivering timely CSOs, troubleshooting, and patching OEM software in multi-time-zone environments.

Candidates should have 10+ years on the zSeries mainframe, deep CICS TS knowledge, SMP/E experience, and strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team, including on-call rotations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years experience on the zSeries (mainframe) platform including hands-on technical experience related to CICS TS and OEM product support.
• Thorough working knowledge of CICS TS and installation/tailoring of CICS TS and related OEM products.
• Thorough working knowledge of IBM SMP/E.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of CICS TS concepts, configuration and tailoring.
• Thorough working knowledge of products used to monitor performance of CICS TS regions.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Must be able to multi-task and work under short deadlines and in high pressure situations.
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentations).
• Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently.

Responsabilités

• Fulfill customer service orders (CSOs) for mainframe z/OS customers in a timely manner as they pertain to CICS TS and related OEM software products.
• Provide primary support for reported problems related to CICS TS and related OEM software products.
• Provide support on 24 x 7 x 365 basis and in multiple time zones.
• Follow procedures for installing OEM software products efficiently and according to best practices and Ensono standards.
• Work with other towers to prepare customer partitions for annual OS upgrade via a proactive checklist.
• Provide key support for customer migrations as they pertain to CICS TS and related OEM software products.
• Assist the project manager in migrating new customers to avoid delays.
• In collaboration with Disaster Recovery Services, execute tasks in DR plans.
• Adhere to a schedule that efficiently manages resources and timely implementations.
• Follow ITSM change control procedures and implement vendor fixes; upgrade or enhance z/OS products as needed.
