Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior CICS Mainframe Systems Programmer to provide premium support for CICS TS on z/OS across multiple time zones. The role emphasizes installing OEM software, enabling customer migrations, and coordinating DR and upgrade activities.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years on the zSeries platform, deep CICS TS knowledge, and strong analytical and communication skills. Remote work from the United States is supported, with on-site options as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years on the zSeries mainframe platform with hands-on CICS TS and OEM product support.
• Thorough knowledge of CICS TS and related OEM products and configurations.
• Thorough knowledge of IBM SMP/E.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of CICS TS concepts and tailoring.
• Experience with tools to monitor CICS TS performance.
• Able to multi-task under deadlines and high pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide premium software support and services for Ensono mainframe clients related to CICS.
• Offer primary support for reported CICS TS issues and OEM products.
• Provide 24x7x365 support across multiple time zones.
• Install OEM software products following Ensono best practices.
• Prepare customer partitions for annual OS upgrades using checklists.
• Support customer migrations and transitions for CICS TS products.
• Assist migration of new customers to address technical hurdles and timelines.
• Collaborate with Disaster Recovery Services on DR plans.
• Adhere to ITSM change control procedures and implement fixes.
