Job summary

RTX seeks an SSBU Execution Chief Engineer for the Precision Fire & Maneuver Office in Tucson, AZ. The role oversees cost, schedule and technical performance across development and production programs, and growth of the program value for the mission area.

You will establish a product vision, align with multiple programs and customers, and lead a multi-disciplinary team. Strong DoD interface and export/compliance focus are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 14+ years experience.
• Chief engineer experience leading engineering teams.
• Missile trade studies, development, integration, or production.
• Multi-million dollar budget management experience.
• SECRET clearance and US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage product vision, strategy, and goals for Programs/Customers.
• Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across IPT and functions.
• Serve as primary technical contact with senior customer counterparts.
• Support capture of new business and influence roadmaps in planning.
• Plan upgrades and system improvements, drive production improvements.
• Engage with subcontractors to ensure deliverables and compliance.
• Lead a multi-disciplined engineering team supporting projectile development.
• Dispozition for Export/Import (EXIM) compliance.
