Job summary
RTX, a leader in aerospace and defense, is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer - Section Responsible Systems Engineer for our Tucson, AZ team. You will update and maintain system requirements, lead verification activities, and coordinate with engineering leadership across disciplines to ensure first-time correctness for warfighter systems.
The role is onsite in Tucson, AZ, with opportunities to mentor teammates and drive architectural decisions within the Advanced Technology Effectors System
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- 8+ years of relevant experience in systems engineering or a related field.
- Experience in test planning, verification of system requirements, and system qualification.
Responsibilities
- Lead update and maintenance of system and subsystem requirements specifications.
- SE technical lead for verification and validation efforts during testing.
- Collaborate with Systems, Hardware IPTLs and Chief Engineer on program tasks.
- Lead Systems Verification Reviews with key program leaders and IPTLs.
- Serve as the knowledgeable go-to Systems Engineer for the program.
- Mentor and onboard new team members using core Systems Engineering skills.
