Job summary
RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to serve as the Coyote CUAS Lead Systems Engineer. You will guide system analysis, requirements development, design, integration, test and qualification across the program.
The role requires strong leadership across multi-disciplinary teams, direct customer interface, and collaboration with government and industry partners to deliver mission-ready solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience leading full systems engineering lifecycle.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Protect the system technical integrity to meet customer and warfighter needs while addressing challenges.
- Coordinate efforts across disciplines and with Raytheon products and external entities.
- Provide status updates and guide IPTs/CPTs to ensure program alignment.
- Interface with program stakeholders including government, partners, and suppliers.
- Assimilate knowledge across technical fields to achieve balanced system performance.
- Interpret customer requirements and translate into actionable team directives.
- Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts across programs using common hardware/software.
- Drive continuous improvement through Failure Review Boards and FRACAS.
