Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Three years of departmental/scheduling experience.
• Knowledge and Skills: Strong customer service; insurance and precertification knowledge; intermediate medical terminology; proficiency in insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Schedules outpatient tests and physician appointments across multiple systems.
• Pre-registers patients and manages pre-certifications and referrals for reimbursement.
• Coordinates dates/times per department and practice protocols.
• Acts as resource and super user for scheduling systems.
• Trains new staff and supports them during probation.
