Job summary

South Shore Health System is seeking a detail-oriented Central Scheduling representative for its South Shore Medical Center’s Centralized Contact Center. The role handles inbound calls, schedules patient appointments, and verifies demographics and insurance information.

• Ability to meet demanding deadlines and balance multiple tasks.
• Proficiency with EMR, patient registration/billing system, email and intranet software.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments following provider templates.
• Recite appointment details back to patient (date, time, provider, location).
• Register new patients and verify/update demographic and insurance information.
• Assist with rescheduling and respond to inquiries via phone, website, and fax.
• Support training and onboarding of new employees as needed.
