Job summary

Pacific Standard Environmental, Inc. is expanding its California CEMS service team and seeks an experienced technician who can independently solve difficult problems, take ownership of customer systems and help other technicians develop.

You will work closely with our service and engineering teams while taking ownership of complex field work, with travel to customer sites regionally in Northern California. The role focuses on CEMS field service, system integration and environmental compliance

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant CEMS, analyzer or instrumentation experience preferred, including substantial hands-on CEMS work.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complete CEMS independently, with strong analyzer/sample-system and electrical/electronics skills.
• Practical knowledge of 40 CFR Parts 60 and/or 75, applicable air-district requirements, CEMS QA, commissioning and audit support.
• Experience with Teledyne, Thermo Scientific, California Analytical Instruments (CAI), Siemens/ULTRAMAT, AMETEK or comparable equipment.

Responsibilities

• Independently troubleshoot and maintain complete CEMS, including analyzers, probes, heated lines, sample-conditioning systems, pumps and instrumentation.
• Diagnose electrical, electronic, pneumatic and communications problems; work with PLCs, Modbus and network interfaces; interpret drawings, P&IDs and technical manuals.
• Perform calibrations and quality-assurance checks; support CGAs, RATAs, converter-efficiency, response-time and sample-system bias testing.
• Support startups, commissioning, upgrades and repairs; identify components and recommend sound technical solutions.
• Communicate clearly with customers, document work accurately and mentor developing technicians while maintaining safe work practices.
