Job summary

Emerson in Houston, TX seeks a Field Service Technician to support Gulf Coast customers with hands-on service for Engineered Solutions in Flow and Quality Measurement, ensuring safe, reliable operations across a leading industrial region.

You will participate in maintenance, testing, and startup activities, work with factory and service centers to tailor solutions, and contribute to training and post-sale planning while prioritizing safety and quality.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma + 3 years relevant experience OR AAS Technical Degree
• Five 5-10 years of related experience
• Travel required up to 75% domestically
• International travel might be required, on occasion
• Legal authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Perform demand and contract field services, including emergency and scheduled maintenance, to support Analytical product installed base
• Assist with Factory Checkout (FCO), FAT and SAT to ensure systems meet quality and functional standards
• Consult with factory and service centers to deliver technical solutions and collaborate with Sales/Business Development Managers to design comprehensive solutions
• Support technical training and post-sale service planning with customers to ensure effective and efficient use of products
• Develop and refine best practice procedures for startup and troubleshooting of products, addressing and resolving customer issues
• Manage overhead, travel, and expenses in a fiscally responsible manner, ensuring adherence to safety and quality rules
• Function as the strategic communication point between customers and the business in resolving warranty issues and drive accountability
• Stay technically proficient on new products and enhancements through self-study and factory training
