Job summary

Accura Engineering in Birmingham seeks a Senior CEI Inspector to perform advanced inspection services for transportation projects. You will lead inspections, supervise field staff, and support contract administration and project documentation.

Responsibilities include materials sampling, testing, plan interpretation, and coordinating with project teams. GDOT certifications may be required; strong communication and problem-solving are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting roadway and bridge construction projects.
• Experience leading inspections and coordinating inspection staff.
• Hold or obtain GDOT certifications (WECS, Field Concrete Technician) as required.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain plans and specs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced-level CEI for roadway and bridge projects.
• Conduct materials sampling, inspection, and testing to verify requirements.
• Serve as Lead Project Inspector supervising inspectors.
• Monitor construction processes for compliance with plans and specs.
• Perform contract administration duties including field measurements.
• Attend project meetings and assist with closeout activities.
• Support LAP compliance and project documentation.
