Job summary

The Valley Health System in Nevada is seeking a CDI Manager to lead day-to-day operations of the Clinical Documentation Integrity Program for GME and medical staff education. This role ensures accurate documentation and supports appropriate reimbursement.

You will perform concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient records to evaluate severity of illness and risk of mortality, and you will use CDI/Coding software and EHR tools to drive improvement in documentation quality.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree in nursing; bachelor's degree in nursing preferred or a Graduate of a domestic/international school of medicine.
• Experience: For Registered Nurse, minimum of two (2) years in an acute care setting; minimum 1 year CDI experience; 2–3 years preferred.
• Knowledge: PPS and DRG selection, assignment and optimization required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Clinical Documentation Integrity Program for GME and medical staff education.
• Perform concurrent and retrospective review of inpatient records to evaluate utilization and documentation of acute care services.
• Facilitate accurate physician documentation of care and compliant reimbursement for acute care services.
