Job summary

The Valley Health System in Southern Nevada seeks a CDI leader to oversee the Clinical Documentation Integrity Program for GME and medical staff education. You will supervise day-to-day CDI operations, and conduct concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient records to ensure accurate documentation and compliant reimbursement.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license with acute care experience, and possess CDI knowledge (CDIP/CCDS/CCS) or ICD-10 proficiency.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of residence is required.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical documentation integrity experience.
• Knowledge of Prospective Payment System and DRG assignment and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day workflow and education of the CDI program.
• Provide concurrent and retrospective review of inpatient records.
• Ensure documentation accurately reflects severity of illness and mortality risk.
• Support compliant reimbursement and reporting for payers or regulators.
