Job summary

The Valley Health System in Southern Nevada is seeking a CDI Manager to lead the Clinical Documentation Integrity Program for GME and medical staff education. You will oversee day-to-day workflow and perform concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient records to ensure accurate reflection of severity of illness and risk of mortality.

This role requires nursing, CDI expertise, knowledge of PPS and DRG, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing; bachelor’s degree preferred or medical degree.
• RN license in state of residence; 2+ years acute care experience; 1+ year CDI experience.
• Knowledge of PPS and DRG assignment/optimization; management experience preferred.
• Proficient with word processing, databases, spreadsheets; basic EHR skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day workflow of the CDI program for GME and medical staff education.
• Provide concurrent and retrospective review of inpatient records for utilization and documentation.
• Ensure physician documentation reflects severity of illness and risk of mortality.
• Align reviews with external payer and regulatory requirements; report quality outcomes and reimbursement.
