Senior Catering Sales Manager - Hilton San Diego Bayfront (Project Management)

What will I be doing?

As Senior Catering Manager, you will develop market segments by soliciting new customer relationships, negotiating business through proposals and contracts to close deals. You will creatively design menus and events to maximize revenue and enhance the event experience. Maintaining relationships with corporate and social accounts, fostering internal customer relationships, and ensuring high-level service throughout all event phases are key responsibilities. This role primarily handles complex social events, directs event logistics, and serves as the primary contact for clients. You may also support the Director of Catering and Events as needed.

Specifically, your essential functions include:

  1. Organizing, planning, and prioritizing duties by setting goals.
  2. Creating and maintaining client relationships to meet expectations.
  3. Demonstrating knowledge of systems, products, and processes.
  4. Resolving conflicts, negotiating, and handling complaints.
  5. Making decisions and solving problems effectively.
  6. Ensuring high-quality service through communication, guidance, and coaching.
  7. Participating in customer site inspections and supporting the sales process.
  8. Communicating promptly with internal and external clients via various channels.

What are we looking for?

  • 2-3 years of catering sales experience, specifically in social catering and weddings.
  • Management or supervision experience of at least one person.
  • Experience in selling events with 200-400 attendees.

The annual salary range for this role is $76,000-$90,000, based on experience and location. #LI-JL2
