The Hilton San Diego Bayfront, located above San Diego Bay near the Gaslamp Quarter and Petco Park, is seeking an Assistant Executive Steward due to a promotion. An Assistant Executive Steward assists in managing stewarding operations to ensure food and beverage outlets have the necessary supplies and equipment, supporting the hotel's goal to deliver exceptional guest service and maintain financial profitability.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience in stewarding within a high-volume hotel or convention center. Experience in a union environment is a plus.

Responsibilities include:

1. Managing stewarding operations, including inventory, sanitation, system management, budgeting, health inspections, safety, reporting, and policy implementation.
2. Ensuring sanitation standards and procedures are followed.
3. Maintaining food service equipment to ensure security and functionality.
4. Controlling inventory and coordinating the distribution of china, glassware, linen, and silver.
5. Monitoring and developing team member performance through supervision, scheduling, evaluations, and recognition.

The salary range for this position is $78,000 - $88,000, commensurate with experience.
