Restaurant Associates in New York City is seeking a Sr. Catering Manager to oversee all catering events for a premier client account.

You will supervise sales and event order communications, staffing, planning, delivery, setup, cleanup, and invoicing for daily events. The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and client-relations skills, with a focus on maximizing space, training staff, and generating monthly metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of current food industry trends and fine dining points of service.
• 4–6 years in hospitality with 2 years in management.
• Supervisory, scheduling, training and coaching skills.
• Ability to assess client requirements and deliver client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Food Service Director and Executive Chef to present catering menu proposals.
• Ensure timely and clear communication for upcoming business to management.
• Coordinate with service staff to ensure proper messaging and data entry in the system.
• Coordinate with conference services for room setups and special requests.
• Hire, train, and schedule catering staff and develop their skills.
• Contribute to menu development and marketing for catering.
• Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
