Auto Club Enterprises in California seeks a Claims Senior Casualty Adjuster to handle moderate to high complexity claims across property and liability lines. You will investigate liability, evaluate coverage, and negotiate settlements within authority while ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include interviews, legal proceedings when needed, and coordinating with multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Requires comprehensive knowledge of claims administration best practices and procedures.
• Advanced knowledge of insurance, fault assessment, negligence and subrogation.
• Understanding of building and vehicle repair procedures and third-party liability issues.
• License may be required for claims administration in specific states.
• Strong communication and organizational skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct phone and/or field investigations to determine liability and damages.
• May attend and participate in legal proceedings.
• Identify and obtain statements from insureds, claimants and witnesses.
• Communicate and interact with insureds, claimants and other parties.
• Explain benefits, coverages and claims process in compliance with laws.
• Evaluate and determine claim values upon receipt and assessment of data.
• Negotiate within settlement authority with insureds and claimants.
• Update databases and document claim files (CACS, HUON, HOC, Guidewire).
• Coordinate with internal and external departments as required.
• Respond quickly to customer needs and problems.
• Independently resolve claims within authority level.
