Auto Club Enterprises in Riverside, CA seeks a Claims Senior Casualty Adjuster to handle moderate to high complexity claims in liability, property and/or casualty lines. You will perform investigations, evaluate coverage, and develop negotiation strategies under general supervision while following state and federal laws and company best practices.

The role involves independent judgment, strict adherence to authority limits, and collaboration with internal teams to resolve claims efficiently.

Qualifications

• 7-9 years prior claims handling experience (preferred).
• 4-6 years Property, Auto, Casualty or relevant claims administration experience (required).
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and claims software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct phone and/or field investigations to determine liability and damages.
• Interact with insureds and claimants; explain benefits, coverages and process; address coverage issues.
• Evaluate and determine claim values from property, bodily injury and liability data.
• Negotiate within settlement authority to resolve claims.
• Update claim files and reports in company systems (CACS, HUON, HOC, Guidewire).
• Control expenses for areas of responsibility.
• Verify coverage by gathering information and coordinating with internal/external departments.
• Respond quickly to customer needs and problems.
• Independently resolve claims within authority.
