You will handle claims for material and property damage, evaluate coverage, investigate liability, and negotiate settlements under moderate supervision according to company procedures.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and scheduling abilities, with mandatory licenses or the timeline to obtain them.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's equivalent education and experience preferred.
• No prior claims experience required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and general computer software.
• Organization and planning skills required.
• Oral and written communication skills required.
• Interpersonal skills required.
• Property and Casualty Insurance License, valid in selling state.
• May be required to obtain an Adjuster license within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with insureds and claimants.
• Verify and explain benefits, coverages, fault, and claims process.
• Investigate to determine liability and damages and gather statements.
• Evaluate and negotiate within settlement authority to resolve claims.
• Coordinate with internal and external departments as required.
• Respond promptly to customer needs and inquiries.
