Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking a Case Manager to fulfill IDEA and 504 responsibilities, coordinate evaluations, and serve as the local district representative at required meetings. You will ensure timelines, prepare IEP/504 materials, arrange interpreters, and collaborate with ODLSS and school leadership to implement plans for students with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in special education or a Master’s degree in educational administration.
• A valid Professional Educator License (PEL) in Special Education (PK-Age 21) or School Support Personnel with supervisory endorsement.
• Two or more years of experience in special education.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the local school district representative at required IDEA and 504 meetings.
• Coordinate referrals for a Full and Individual Evaluation (FIE) within 60 school days after signed parental consent.
• Chair IEP and 504 conferences and act as the District Representative.
• Finalize each student’s IEP or 504 Plan in the SSM and provide copies to parents.
• Ensure data entry of student information in SSM and arrange related services as needed.
