Avenue Logistics in Chicago, IL is seeking a Senior Carrier Sales Representative to source capacity, negotiate rates, and deliver exceptional service to customers across North America. You will leverage carrier relationships, market knowledge, and negotiation skills to move freight efficiently and build long-term partnerships.

You'll work from our open-concept office in Lincoln Park, collaborating with experienced sales leaders and teammates daily.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of third-party logistics (3PL) carrier sales experience.
• Proven success building and maintaining carrier relationships.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented brokerage environment.
• Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using TMS, CRM, or other transportation technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and expand relationships with carriers across North America.
• Source capacity and negotiate competitive rates.
• Partner with Customer Sales Representatives to execute freight.
• Identify capacity solutions for dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, drayage, LTL, and specialized shipments.
• Utilize Avenue's proprietary CRM and transportation technology to manage carrier relationships.
• Monitor market conditions and identify transportation solutions for customers and carrier partners.
• Resolve service issues quickly while maintaining strong carrier relationships.
• Grow your portfolio of carrier partnerships and contribute to company growth.
