Job summary

MAP Transit in Chicago is seeking an experienced Senior Carrier Sales Representative to grow our carrier network, manage high-volume customer freight, and drive the Carrier Sales team.

You will negotiate rates, mentor junior staff, and track shipments from pickup to delivery in a fast-paced environment. The role offers a base salary of $60,000 plus commission and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in freight brokerage or carrier sales.
• Ability to manage multiple loads and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong negotiation and market awareness.

Responsibilities

• Book and manage carriers for high-volume customer freight.
• Develop and maintain reliable carrier relationships across lanes.
• Negotiate competitive rates while meeting service expectations.
• Independently track loads from pickup to delivery.
• Address service issues promptly and escalate when needed.
• Maintain accurate load information in internal systems.
• Share market insights and carrier strategies with the team.
• Mentor and support entry-level teammates.
• Collaborate with Carrier Sales Manager and team.
