Job summary

Bickford Senior Living is seeking a Medication Technician to support residents with daily medications in a caring, dignified manner.

The role requires an active Medication Technician Certification or one year of elder care experience, CPR/First Aid, and strong communication and time-management skills. You will work within a team to provide direct resident care and follow Bickford’s policies and MAR procedures.

Qualifications

• Active Medication Technician Certification in good standing or at least one year of experience in the care of seniors.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to utilize or learn Bickford’s eMAR system to administer medications.

Responsibilities

• Accurately following the resident MAR to ensure medications are given per Physician’s orders.
• Understand and follow the Six rights of medication administration and all policies.
• Utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate with clinical leadership for clarification on medication administration and care.
• Provide direct resident care; supervise non-licensed team members as appropriate.
• Demonstrate Bickford Mission, Whatever it Takes, on shift.
