Job summary

Bickford Senior Living is seeking a Medication Technician to support resident care by administering daily medications per MAR, with compassion and attention to dignity. You will work within a branch, collaborating with clinical staff and leadership.

This role emphasizes following the six rights of medication administration, using the eMAR system, and leading on shift to model the Mission ‘Whatever it Takes’.

Qualifications

• Active Medication Technician license in good standing or at least one year of experience in the care of seniors.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Shows good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to learn and use the eMAR system for medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Accurately following the resident MAR to ensure medications are given according to physician orders.
• Understand and follow the Six Rights of medication administration and internal policies.
• Utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate with clinical leadership for medication clarification and care directions.
• Provide direct resident care and supervise non-licensed team members on shift.
• Demonstrate the Bickford Mission ‘Whatever it Takes’ to the team on shift.
