Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Food Service Director to lead the dining program at a long-term care facility. You will ensure high food quality, manage inventory, enforce safety standards, and deliver excellent resident and client service.

This role requires an associate degree or higher in food service management, 2 years of supervisory experience, and applicable certifications (FPM, FSM, LTC-FSM, CDM). You will train staff, maintain records, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in food service management or hospitality preferred.
• Two years of quantity food production/service experience with supervision preferred.
• CDM certification preferred (or required by state/county law).
• FPM certification within 14 days of employment.
• FSM and LTC-FSM certifications within 60 days of employment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Vaccination policies compliance required.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Proficient with basic computer systems and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the food service program at a single site, ensuring quality, inventory management, food safety, and customer service.
• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment.
• Conduct staff training and in-service sessions; perform roles as needed.
• Communicate directives to staff from clients and administrators.
• Maintain sanitary environment per infection control and handwashing procedures.
• Represent HCSG positively with supervisors, client staff, residents, and guests.
• All other duties as assigned.
