Job summary

Healthcare Services Group is hiring a Food Service Director to lead the dining department at a long-term care facility. You will ensure high food quality, regulatory compliance, inventory control, and strong customer service.

The role requires coordinating with client managers and facility leadership to deliver premier dining experiences. You will train staff, monitor budgets, and maintain records while adhering to safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in food service management or hospitality.
• Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and personnel supervision.
• CDM certification preferred (or as required by state/county law).
• Must obtain FPM within 14 days of employment.
• Must obtain FSM and LTC-FSM certifications within 60 days of employment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Residency within the service area required.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the food service program at a single site.
• Maintain menus, inventory, food safety, and customer service adherence.
• Record income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
• Train staff, conduct quality control, and perform dietary aide/cook/dishwasher roles as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers and administrators to staff.
• Ensure sanitary environment through proper cleaning and handwashing procedures.
• Maintain attendance and timely task completion; represent HCSG positively.
