Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. seeks a Food Service Director to lead the dining program at a long-term care facility. You will manage the team, ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with clients, residents, and supervisors to deliver superior dining experiences.

The role requires an associate degree or higher in food service management, plus prior supervision experience. CDM certification is preferred, and you must obtain FPM and FSM within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Two years of quantity food production/service and personnel supervision preferred.
• Associate degree or higher in food service management.
• CDM certification preferred.
• Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) within 14 days of employment; Must obtain FSM and LTC-FSM within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment.
• Conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; perform roles of dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to staff.
• Ensure safe handling of cleaning solutions and report equipment needs or malfunctions.
• Follow infection control and sanitation procedures to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Maintain attendance, punctuality, and timely completion of tasks.
• Represent HCSG positively with supervisors, staff, residents, and guests.
