Job summary

Advocate Health’s High Point facility is seeking a Cardiovascular Echocardiography Technologist. The role performs diagnostic echocardiograms, TEE, stress echo, and related procedures under physician orders, ensures quality imaging, and maintains accurate medical records.

Requirements include RDCS certification, completion of a cardiac ultrasound training program, a high school diploma or GED, and BLS. The schedule is Monday–Friday 8 to 5, with weekend/holiday on-call as needed; compensation

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a cardiac ultrasound training program required.
• Certification or registry in Echocardiography (RDCS) required.
• Meets all qualifications of Echocardiography Tech II ladder requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiograms, TEE, stress echo, and advanced procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Operates echocardiography equipment and records quality information.
• Explains procedures and possible side effects to the patient or family members.
• Collaborates with physician to ensure quality patient care.
• Takes call, works weekends and rotates holidays as needed.
• Maintains patient medical records.
