Job summary

Advocate Health in High Point, NC is seeking an Echocardiography Tech II to perform diagnostic echocardiograms and stress echoes, while ensuring accurate documentation and patient safety.

The role requires cardiac ultrasound training and RDCS certification, with BLS; full-time schedule is 8AM-5PM on weekdays and may include on-call, weekends, and holiday rotations, as part of a larger cardiology team.

Qualifications

• Cardiac ultrasound training completion required.
• RDCS certification/registry required.
• BLS certification required.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiograms and stress echo procedures.
• Records quality information during imaging and follows guidelines.
• Explains procedures and possible side effects to patient and family.
• Evaluates patient history for indicators and contraindications.
• Collaborates with physician to ensure quality patient care.
• Operates echocardiography equipment.
• Maintains patient medical records.
• Organizes 3 stages of the reporting process: study completion, interpretation, final report.
• Submits final reports to nursing units or physician offices.
• Performs portable diagnostic echocardiograms.
• Takes call, works weekends and rotates holidays.
