Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer at High Point, NC to perform routine and advanced echocardiograms and contribute to cardio imaging services. You will work across locations, handle on-call duties, and ensure high-quality diagnostic results for cardiology patients.

The role requires graduation from an AMA-approved ultrasound program, ARDMS/CCI credentials, and current BLS certification. A 2-year program background is noted with strong patient care skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology, AMA approved ultrasound course, or CMA accredited program in Diagnostic ultrasound.
• One year experience with patients preferred.
• Must be registered in appropriate cardiology specialties within two years of hire.
• Current BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency echocardiograms (2D, 3D, Doppler, TEE, Stress) per physician orders and established protocols.
• Record quality information and explain procedures to patients/families.
• Provide echocardiography service at multiple locations, including on-call coverage as needed.
• Operate echocardiography equipment and maintain instruments; perform basic repairs as needed.
• Prepare preliminary reports for review by the Cardiologist.
• Participate in quality improvement activities; maintain logs and records.
• Maintain patient confidentiality; educate students, fellows, nurses, and staff as requested.
