Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a skilled echocardiography technologist to deliver diagnostic ultrasound exams in inpatient and outpatient settings. You will handle provider orders, document results in the EMR, and support a team under supervision, ensuring high standards of care.

The position requires ARDMS/RDCS accreditation or eligible status, a relevant associate degree (bachelor’s preferred), and at least four years of echocardiography experience.

Qualifications

• ARDMS/RDCS accreditation or accreditation eligible and current BLS certification required.
• Associate degree and/or equivalent experience in clinical testing environment; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of four years of echocardiography experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; knowledge of cardiac anatomy.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiogram diagnostic tests from Provider orders via EMR and documents results per policy.
• Clarifies MD orders and goals of Rx; reports test information with appropriate EMR documentation.
• Responds to STAT echo calls and Code Blues as required.
• Checks echocardiogram equipment for proper functioning and maintains testing rooms.
• Maintains knowledge of echocardiogram machines and EMR systems; retrieves data as needed.
