Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree or approved echocardiography program graduate with registry eligibility.
• ARDMS/RDCS or CCI/RCS accreditation or eligibility and current BLS.
• Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills; knowledge of cardiac anatomy.
• Minimum of one year of echocardiography experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs all testing procedures in echocardiography (M-mode, 2D, spectral Doppler, color Doppler).
• Performs diagnostic exercise/pharmacological stress echocardiograms.
• Responds to Code 99s as required.
• Troubleshoots technical methods of echocardiography.
• Ensures a safe testing environment in daily operations.
• Retrieves and sends data using clinical/financial information systems.
• Ensures proper documentation in medical records and department logs.
• Communicates effectively to promote teamwork and problem solving.
